# Can I send a video attachment?

To send a video, you should paste a [Youtube](https://www.youtube.com/@hitemupapp3828) Link or Vimeo link into your message!

Your recipients will see the video as a standard video inline in their text message app (if they're using a modern smartphone).
We don't let you attach a video file directly because it takes up a ton of room on your phone. That's because your device stores a copy in your Messages App database for each recipient. 
Further, sending a video on repeat uses a lot of your data plan for the same reason. It also takes up a lot of data and room on your recipients' phones too!
Lastly, it's super slow to send a 5MB+ video file over and over again.

So include a link to Youtube, and you'll be golden!✨
