Contacts not saving when you add or remove them from the group.

Suppose you are trying to save or remove a contact from a group on your iPhone, and it is not working.
In that case, the most likely reason is that the group was set up to save to iCloud, BUT the contact(s) you are trying to save or remove are from Gmail or another contact book source.

So there are two possible solutions.

The easiest one is to clone the group but turn off the iCloud Backup toggle when making the group.
This will let you put contacts in and out of that group regardless of where they are from.

To do that, select your group in the list, so it is highlighted.
Select the group from the group list
Then, tap +New Group.
Create a new group in Hit Em Up
Select New Group with Currently Selected People.

Create a new group with currently selected people
Give it a new name and turn off the aforementioned iCloud backup toggle.

Give the new group a name and turn off Save in iCloud toggle
Hit Create, and you're good to go.

Tap Create to save your newly created group
Swipe to the left to delete your old group from the list and tap Delete Group

The second option is to port all your contacts over to iCloud from Gmail/outlook/etc. and ONLY use iCloud going forward.
That option is trickier because you must turn off all your mail accounts from syncing their contacts to your phone, so I recommend the easy fix.
However, if you want to do that, you can go to Settings > Contacts > Accounts> <YOUR_EMAIL_ADDRESS> and turn off Contacts Syncing (leaving only iCloud Contacts on)
